The people we post at your gate, your lobby and your shop floor have access to your premises, your assets and your people. That is why no BIS guard or staff member is deployed on a client site without antecedent verification. As a PSARA-licensed security agency, police character and antecedent verification is a legal requirement for every security guard and supervisor we employ. We treat it as the minimum, not the whole process.
Before deployment, each candidate's identity, address, previous employment and police record are checked and documented. The same standard applies to replacement and relief guards, so the person covering a night shift is as thoroughly vetted as your regular team. When you hire security from BIS, you get police verified security guards with a record you can trace.

Verification starts at recruitment. Each candidate submits identity and address documents, which our team checks for authenticity. A BIS representative then confirms the declared home address and, where needed, speaks to local residents. We file the police character and antecedent verification form with the police for the candidate's area, as required under the Maharashtra Private Security Agencies Rules, which set a 90-day window for the police report. Previous employers and references are contacted in parallel. Only after these checks, and BIS's own training, is a guard deployed to a client site. Each guard's police report remains valid for three years, and we track every expiry date so re-verification is completed before a report lapses.
It is a check of a person's character and background, mainly through police records and enquiries at the place they live. For private security guards and supervisors, it is required by law before employment.
